In this post, I will share with you my ipsy review and let you know whether I think this beauty subscription is worth the price.
Hint, this is the longest beauty subscription that I’ve had, and with good reason. Read below, to see what’s included in the ipsy glam bag for September 2018.
What's included in the ipsy Glam Bag?
Trestique Mini Lip Glaze in English Rose
I’ve received 3 Trestique lip products in the various beauty subscriptions I get. I have loved all three. English Rose is a romantic pinky-red.
Full size price: $25, but includes a primer balm
The verdict: As I mentioned above, I’ve loved the 3 different lip products from Trestique. The more and more I use these types of lip crayons, the more I prefer them over any other lip product.
Dirty Little Secret Cosmetics Bronzer in Skinny Dip
A sheer bronzer that is buildable. Warm toned with a hint of gold.
Full size price: $14
The verdict: This bronzer is creamy and I think would be great as a topper to a more opaque bronzer to give it a nice sheen. I like it but I don’t reach for it everyday with my makeup application.
Nomad Cosmetics Around-The-World Light Infusion Highlighting Blush in Positano Sunrise
A bright peachy-pink blush with a highlight.
Full size price: $17
Full size amount: 0.35 oz / 10 g
The verdict: I think this was a very nice formula, but the color was too bright for my skin tone. I would love to try another one of their highlighting blushes in another shade.
Grace & Stella Rescue My Hair Mask
A reparative hair mask with nourishing ingredients.
Full size price: $16.95
Full size amount: 300 g / 10 oz
The verdict: I used my sample all up and there wasn’t anything that I didn’t like. However, there was nothing about this hair mask that stood out to me. I feel like it’s good but there are a lot of other good products out on the market too. I would be open to trying it again, though, since the sample I got was good for only about 2 uses.
Luxie Beauty Wonder Woman Detail Tapered Blender 140
A limited edition Wonder Woman makeup brush with a pointed tip that is great for targeted areas. This brush can be used for eyeshadow or concealer.
Full size price: $20
The verdict: This brush certainly felt soft to the touch. The bristles were firm, so I don’t think it would be good for blending like the name implies, but it would be great for concealer or precise application.
Is the ipsy Glam Bag worth it? My ipsy review
Is ipsy worth the price? OMG yes! As you’ll see in my other posts about ipsy, each bag includes items that are customized to the preferences you specify. I’ve found that even if there are some items I don’t like in my bag, the other items are actually products that I do like and make the bag feel like it was worth the 10 bucks.
All that to say, I love sharing with you my ipsy review. I am now subscribed to the Glam Bag Plus so be on the lookout for those reviews, too.
